What will I learn?

The Concept Each CodeWeekend consists of two days. Over the course of 48 hours you will be building 2 web and 2 mobile apps: an About Me page a Photo Sharing site a game and a ToDo app. You get to keep anything you build. Saturday is dedicated to web development. On Sunday you will cover mobile development. The Coding Weekend is the perfect first step into the world of coding. No tech jabber just people who are curious to learn from others who have taken the leap.

Topics Web and Mobile Development. Web languages and frameworks covered: Sublime, HTML, CSS, Ruby on Rails, Bootstrap, Heroku, Git / Github, SQL, Postgres, domains and webspace handling. Mobile languages and frameworks covered Swift XCode

Pre-Work We will send you some pre-work instructions before the Coding Weekend starts as well as some info forms where you can specify what computer you will be using and what your prior experience is so we can group you accoridngly. You can also specify whether you are more interested in web or in mobile development or both.

Requirements No previous knowledge needed. Bring a Mac or PC. Bring An extension cord if you are worried about not having enough battery. Bring fun and energy. Try to recruit a coding buddy and sign up together so you can keep coding after the Coding Weekend.

Global Coding Tour

10 cities

The workshop takes place in 10 different cities across Germany. From Berlin to Munich, and Frankfurt to Dresden.

10 weekends

The workshop is organized as a 2-day weekend event. Saturday and Sunday. Intense classes for non-techies.
